SwissQuake.ch was founded in May 1997 as the first Swiss Community Gaming Page and at that time was running the first Online Gaming Community with public game servers, daily news and further free services such as hosting etc. Swissquake.ch also organised the LanParties SwissCon'97 and SwissCon'98, the latter being the biggest Lan Party of the world with more than 250 players.

Hosting Services
With more than 10 years experience in hosting and online gaming, SwissQuake is market leader in online gaming since its foundation. SwissQuake today is run by the parent company Binarics GmbH as a service provider for all requirements of online gaming and since 2005 offers root server services in the professional as well as the semi-professional domains.

Server Farm
Our server farm is located in the high security computer centre of the IWB in Basel, from where we have broadband connection with Gbit speeds to different backbone-providers in the whole of Europe. Therefore and as we are located centrally in Europe, we can offer the best possible connection for Swiss as well as international services.
